Alice Cullen

She was born to the late Marie and Adolph Johnson, on August, 16, 1932 in the Bronx, New York . Alice grew up in Freeport , Long Island . She graduated from Cortland University in 1952 receiving a BA in Education. She was married to William Cullen in 2004. Alice was previously married to the late Robert Serfis.

Alice is survived by her husband William Cullen; three children : Michael (Kim) Serfis of West Hurley, New York ; James (Karen) Serfis, of Arlington , Virginia ; and Jane (John) Norris of Voorheesville, New York . She also is survived by eight much loved grandchildren.

Alice was a Head Start teacher for many years. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was very involved in her children’s activities. She also was very close to her friends; the Birthday Group.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made out to The Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley or a charity of one’s choice .
