Mrs. Amy S. Green

Amy Sue (Weegar) Green, age 61, of Colton, NY passed away on October 26th at the Canton Potsdam Hospital where she had been a patient since the 21st. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Saturday, October 31st from 2-4 pm. Memorial service will be held at the Garner Funeral Service on Saturday at 4 pm with Rev. Lee Sweeney celebrant. Amy was born on March 6, 1954 to the late Robert and Vivian (Wood) Weegar. She grew up in Parishville, NY.

Amy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Thomas D. Green of Colton, NY, her sister, Cindy Bird of DeRuyter, NY, 3 children: Melissa (Parker) Sunderland and her husband Jeff of Colton, NY, Gordie Parker of Hopkinton, NY and Robert Green and his partner of 7 years Scott Dovillet of Colton, NY; grandchildren Steven, Corey, Paige, Gabrielle and Khloe as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by her parents and her brothers Gordon and Steven Weegar.

Amy worked at Clarkson University for almost 30 years, retiring in 2009. She was a charter member of the AmVets Auxiliary at the Colton Post #262. She loved her dogs Allie and Teddy and she enjoyed bingo, reading, kindle games and scratch off lottery tickets.
