Conner Scott Hendershot, 20, of Parishville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2025. Born on October 22, 2004, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Conner spent most of his life in Parishville, where he built strong roots, deep friendships, and a life full of adventure, laughter, and love.
A 2022 graduate of Parishville-Hopkinton Central School, Conner was a dedicated athlete who played both basketball and soccer during his high school years. He brought passion and heart to everything he did—on the court, on the field, and in everyday life.
Conner had an unshakable love for the outdoors. Whether tearing through trails on his dirt bike, casting a line at Carry Falls with friends, or hunting at camp, he found peace and purpose in the wild. He was just as happy cutting down trees as he was sharing quiet moments in the woods or laughing around a bonfire with friends. He was known for his strength, adventurous spirit, and his ever-present smile.
He worked at Nelson’s Tree Service, where he was respected and loved by his coworkers. His dedication, work ethic, and intelligence stood out to all who knew him—traits that reflected his genuine character and quiet humility.
Above all, Conner was a deeply loving and loyal son, brother, and friend. He had a soft and gentle heart, especially when it came to his mom, Heather Cliff Hendershot, with whom he shared a bond that could never be broken. He was a devoted brother to Gavin —always encouraging, always protective, and always proud. He also leaves behind his father, Scott Hendershot, as well as many beloved family members and countless friends whose lives were brighter because of him.
Conner was truly loved by all. His spirit, kindness, and humor left a mark on everyone who knew him. His time on this earth was far too short, and his absence leaves a hole that will never be filled.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 18, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Garner’s Funeral Home, located at 10 Lawrence Avenue, Potsdam, NY 13676. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a community gathering and meal at the Parishville AMVETS Hall, 25 Rutman Road, Parishville, NY 13672.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parishville AMVETS Auxiliary 265, P.O. Box 253, Parishville, NY 13672.
Conner’s love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. Gone far too soon, he will be deeply missed—always remembered, and forever loved.
A graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery, located on Route 72 in Parishville, NY. The date and time for this service are yet to be determined. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service. Condolences for the Hendershot family can be shared @www.garnerfh.com.
