He met the love of his life, Lorraine, while they were both working at the Oval Wood Dish Company in Tupper Lake, where Dale worked as a foreman. What began as a workplace friendship grew into a marriage that lasted more than 51 years. The couple married on July 26, 1975, and built a life centered on family, laughter, and love.
Dale was a dedicated and hardworking man throughout his life. He worked at Pahler's, New York Periodicals, and later in maintenance at United Helpers, where he truly enjoyed his work. He was well-liked by coworkers and residents alike, and many looked forward to seeing him and sharing a laugh during their day.
Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Dale never missed an opportunity to tell a joke or make someone smile. He had a lifelong love of music and records and was proud to have played in a band with his brother during his teenage years. He enjoyed painting, working outdoors, and taking pride in his yard and home. More than anything, Dale treasured time with his family. He rarely missed a chance to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events, musicals, concerts, and other activities, always showing his support and encouragement.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine Pitcher; his twin daughters, Natalie Pitcher (Randy Gollinger) and Nicole Pitcher; and his cherished grandchildren, Kayla Phillips, Kobe Phillips, Blake Bidwell, Beau Bidwell, and Brooklyn Gollinger.

Dale will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, stepfather, brother, and friend. His humor, kindness, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his family touched countless lives. The memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely will be treasured forever by those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends to gather, honor, and remember Dale’s life. Arrangements for cremation are with the Garner Funeral Service where condolences can be shared @www.garnerfh.com.
