

Dean M Lamphere passed away suddenly on August 16, 2026, at the Canton Potsdam Hospital. A celebration of life for Dean will be held on Thursday, August 20th at the Parishville Amvets from 2-6 pm. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service where condolences can be shared @www.garnerfh.com.
Dean is survived by his wife Cynthia Lamphere, his children Dean Jr. and David Lamphere and Kevin Campbell; grandchildren Tyler (Liz) Lamphere, Emma, Ella and Jake Lamphere and Jozelynn Campbell; siblings Melvin (Gloria) and Lee (Donna) Sweeney, Louie Wilson, Bernadette Sweeney, Patricia (Robert) Phillips, Lynn Roselle and Edwin "Dude" (Chrissy) Cool. He is predeceased by his sister Sharon Bell, brother in laws Al Wilson and Norman Rosselle, grandchild Megan Grace Foster and nephews Robert and Garrett Phillips and nephew Matthew Hayes LaBar.
Dean M. Lamphere was born on August 2, 1952 in Little Falls, NY to Percy Lamphere and Loretta Ashlaw. He was a 1970 graduate of Parishville Central High School. Dean was a truck driver for the Town of Parishville for years until he started his own businesses. He was the owner operator of Lamphere's General Repair, Lamphere's Market and Lamphere's Towing in Hopkinton, NY.
Dean was married to Cynthia Hayes on August 8, 1970. Dean was an avid ball player of all kinds. He especially loved playing softball. Dean was a former chief and long time member of the Parishville Volunteer Fire Department. He was instrumental in establishing the Parishville Fire Department Dive Team. Dean was a very hard worker and he surely will be missed.
