Donald A Wells

Mr. Donald A. Wells, age 90 of Potsdam, NY passed away on June 1st at the United Helpers Home in Ogdensburg, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 5th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church in Potsdam, NY with Msgr. Robert Aucoin celebrant. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Thursday, June 4th from 3-7 pm. On line condolences can be sent @garnerfh.com.

Donald is survived by his wife Frieda Wells; sons David Wells and Steven Wells, Thomas (Sharon) Delosh, daughters Judy Wells, Diane LeBel, Barbara (Thomas) Planty and Jackie (David) Burkett; son in law Charles Norman; sisters Shirley Andrews and Ida Cross; many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife Marguerite Wells; a daughter Lee Norman and his sister Connie Claflin.

Mr. Donald A. Wells was born on May 4, 1925 in Ogdensburg, NY. He attended Potsdam Central Schools. He was married to Marguerite LaFaver in 1945, she passed away in 1970. He then married Frieda Wells in 1971. He was a welder for Kendall LaMar Corporation for 29 years and then at Clarkson University for 16 years as a welder and a maintenance mechanic.
