Mr. Donald N. White Sr.

Mr. Donald N. White Sr. age 80, of West Stockholm, passed away suddenly at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington on January 5, 2016. Calling hours will be held on Friday (Jan 8, 2016) at the Garner Funeral Service from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 & 9:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Jan 9, 2016) at 12:00pm at the Garner Funeral Service with Kenney Ashley officiating. Burial will follow the service at the West Stockholm Cemetery.

Donald is survived by seven children; Donald N. White Jr. and his companion Alice Osway of W. Stockholm; Nelson and Terri White of Massena; Martin White of Watertown; Susan White of St. Regis Falls; Karen White Davis of Taylors, SC; William and Linda White of Norwood and Carrie Mason of Potsdam; his girlfriend Elaine Walker of St. Regis Falls; grandchildren Rachel Weaver, Steve & Joshua Parker, Nelson, Nicholas, Evan, William, Michael & Heather White, Ryan Mason & Katelyn Davis; great grandchildren Angela, Riley, Jacob, Madison, Taylor, Ausley and Audrey; along with several nieces and nephews.

His brothers Sherwood and Warren White and sisters Betty Ames and Sharon Robinson predeceased him.

Mr. Donald N. White Sr. was born on October 10, 1935 in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Nelson and Sarah (Tobin) White. He graduated from Madrid Waddington Schools and served in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to the states, and was later married to Betty Louise Hopps. Together they raised seven children.

Donald worked at Niagara Mohawk for over 30 years, retiring at the age of 55 as a maintenance foreman. He enjoyed cutting wood, hunting, going to camp and socializing with his friends at the Sportsmen’s Club in St. Regis Falls, NY.
