Mrs. Evelyn R. Burkett

Mrs. Evelyn R. Burkett, age 80 of Potsdam, NY passed away on her birthday at her residence in Potsdam on November 15, 2014. She was surrounded by her family and friends and also was under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley. Arrangements under the direction of the Garner Funeral Service, Potsdam, NY. On line condolences can be sent @www.garnerfh.com. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at the Knapp Station Community Church with Rev. Lee Sweeney celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of the service. Evelyn will be buried at the West Stockholm Cemetery.

Evelyn is survived by her children Joseph Charleson, Alan Charleson, Edward Charleson, Shelly Lederle, Barbara Burkett and Jerry Burkett as well as by many loved grandchildren great grandchildren and son-in-law and daughter in laws. She is predeceased by her husband Mark Burkett and her son William Burkett . Contributions in her memory can be made to Potsdam Humane Society as well as Hospice. Evelyn loved playing cards with her friends, watching the birds in her feeder and enjoying life. She will surely be missed.
