

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harry "Butch" Caringi Jr. 81 of Parishville on January 29th, 2025. Butch was born on June 28, 1943, in Potsdam to Harry Caringi Sr and Lucielle (Waite) Caringi. Arrangements are under the care of the Garner Funeral Service.
Butch graduated from Parishville High School in 1961. After graduation Butch enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. Serving on several bases throughout the United States. Butch married the love of his life Judith "Judy" Planty in 1965 at the Baptist Church in Parishville. After his enlistment he took a job as a Deputy Sheriff with the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office and retired after 25 years with the Office. After retirement Butch took a position as the caretaker of the Sylvan Falls Club in Parishville for thirteen years.
Butch is survived by his wife Judy, two daughters Lorie Wells, Teri Caringi and companion Terry Green his son Tom and his companion Mary Wright, grandchildren Matt & Lindsay (Caringi) Dishaw, Justin & companion Rochelle White, Joedi Foster, Nathan Wells, James Wells, Alexandra Caringi, Sean Caringi, Patrick Caringi, Jay Zenger, and Journee Zenger, ten great-grandchildren, a brother Ben Caringi, and several nieces.
Butch enjoyed being in the woods hunting and fishing. His other hobbies included Hamm Radio, RC airplanes and riding his motorcycle. Butch was a past member of both Parishville rescue and fire department. Butch was an active member of the Legion Riders Norfolk, Amvets 265 and American Legion 925. Butch was predeceased by his parents Harry, Lucielle, his brothers William, and Roy "Buzz" Caringi. There will be no calling hours per his request.
