Patricia A Maston

Mrs. Patricia A. Maston, age 67 of Potsdam, NY, passed away suddenly on August 12, 2017 at the Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Home on Saturday, August 19th from 9am until 11am. The calling hours will be followed by a funeral service at Garner’s at 11am with Msgr. John Murphy. Burial will follow the service at the Hermon Cemetery in Hermon, NY.

Patricia was born on September 1, 1949 in Potsdam, NY to the late Patrick Carey and Lucy Carpenter. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School in Massena, NY. She was a homemaker. She loved Facebook. It helped her keep track of what all of her family and friends were up to. Her favorite thing was hanging out with her family and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Misty Russell of Potsdam; her sister Linda Sherman of Washington and her grandkids, Lucy and Claire Russell-Norrell and Zoey Russell-Bradish. Patricia is predeceased by her husband Joseph Maston and her parents.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to help care for Patricia’s grandchildren. The grandchildren were very special to her. Lucy was her sunshine, Claire was her butterfly and Zoey was her flower. Zoey was born very prematurely and is still in the NICU unit at Crouse Irving in Syracuse. Patricia passed away suddenly while helping care for her grandchildren so Misty could spend time at the hospital with her premature baby.
