

On October 16, 2025 Suzzy Lee (Moniere) Rotella passed away in her home in the village of Potsdam at age 64. Suzzy was well-known and respected for her decades of work as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She had a long and impactful career with United Helpers for 25 years. Her caring nature shone brightly through her service, especially during her time in the Emergency Department and the Gastroenterology department at Canton-Potsdam Hospital where she worked for over 20 years.
Born in Potsdam, NY, on July 11, 1961, Suzzy was a proud graduate of Potsdam Central School in 1980 where she participated in Track, Soccer and Cheerleading. Suzzy would attend North Country Community College and later obtain her LPN certification from Boces in 1988. She would later on marry Michael Rotella in 1984 which would end in divorce.
Suzzy’s greatest joy was her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Rotella, and her seven adored grandchildren: Jenessa Rotella, Kelsey Farnsworth, Morgan Farnsworth, Brianna Farnsworth, Rylee Farnsworth, Mason Farnsworth, and James Rotella. She is also survived by her sisters, Barb Fuller, Cinde Johnson, and JoAmiee Charleston, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Rotella; her sisters, Judi Branicacz and Linee Moniere-Claflin; her fiancé, Richard (Dick) Gary; and her parents, Otha (Deere) and Joseph Moniere.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside burial will be held on Saturday October 25, 2025 and will take place at the Garfield Cemetery (Garfield Road off of Route 56) at 10 am in Potsdam. Suzzy had a heart of gold and the family wishes to thank the community for its support during this difficult time. Arrangements are entrusted to the Garner Funeral Service.
