

Mr. Timothy Richard McEwen, of Potsdam, NY passed away suddenly on September 27, 2025, at the age of 77 in the town of Potsdam. Tim passed away with his boots on doing what he absolutely loved, mowing the yard. Tim will surely be missed by his family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 10 am until noon at the Knapps Station Community Church, Norwood, NY. There will be a service held at the church at noon with Rev. Lee Sweeney celebrant. There will be a luncheon to follow at the Fellowship Hall. Graveside services for Tim will be held at 4pm at the Beach Plains Cemetery, Plains Rd., West Pierrepont. Timothy is survived by his wife Debra McEwen, son Richard (Katie) McEwen of Massena, sisters Sandi (Rick) Sadetsky of Florida and Debbie Neal of Colorado, grandchildren Luke (Emma) McEwen of Potsdam, Kodda McEwen of Massena and Mark McEwen of Massena, brother-in-law Don Morse of Baldwinsville, NY and several nieces and nephews. He does have one great grandbaby on the way. He is predeceased by his parents, Homer and Mae McEwen and a sister Lana Morse.
Mr. Timothy R. McEwen was born on January 16, 1948 in Potsdam, NY to Homer and Mae Delosh McEwen. He was a graduate of Norwood Norfolk Central School. On July 7, 1973 Tim married the love of his life, Debbie. Tim was a highly skilled mechanic for years at the Sovie's Cycle Shop in Potsdam.
Tim had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes with family and friends. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was an avid fisherman winning several trophies over the years. He participated in the New York State Bass Master's Tournament. Tim insisted on making gravy on all of the holidays. He was truly spoiled by his loving wife Debbie. He will be missed.
He was a resident of Potsdam, New York.
