Mrs. Yvonne Hughes

Utah and formerly of Potsdam, NY passed away on Sunday,

November 30th at her residence in Utah. Arrangements are

with the Garner Funeral Service. Contributions in her memory

can be made to Hearts For Hospice @ 942 Chambers St.

#15, Ogden, UT 84403. Funeral services will be held at the

Garner Funeral on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 10:30 am with

Msgr. Robert Aucoin celebrant. Burial will follow the

service at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the

Garner Funeral Service on Thursday from 4-7 pm.

Yvonne is survived by her three sons Gordon Hughes Jr.,

Kevin (Joy) Hughes and Rex Hughes; brothers Dale and Levi

Hughes; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and several

nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Gordon

Hughes Sr.; her son Harry Hughes; brother Neal Wells and a

sister Donna Morehouse.

Mrs. Yvonne Hughes was born on December 24, 1939 in Potsdam,

NY to the late Charles Wells and Irene LaValley. She was a

graduate of Potsdam Central School. She was a very feisty

lady and lived life to the fullest. Her husband was in the

service and they lived all over the country. They spent time

in California, Virginia, North Carolina and then moved back

to Potsdam in 1973 after his retirement. She most recently

spent the last fours years living with her son Gordon in
