Alan was born in Rochester, January 17, 1937 to Selywn and Ruth Wahl Skillman. He attended school in Rochester. He enlisted in the US Army in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1958. He worked in the construction field as a carpenter and mason for most of his life.
He leaves behind his wife of 55 years Margaret, of the home, two children, Joanne(Dan) DeMarle, Rochester, Alan(Laurie), Springwater, two grandchildren, Tyler and Margo DeMarle and a brother Gary(Sue), Rochester.
