Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Anne was born in Jamestown, NY to Morris and Ellen Palmer Bowman on March
18, 1929. She attended Wellesley College and received her Master’s Degree from
The University of Rochester. She taught at West Irondequoit High School and
was a docent for the Rochester Museum and Science Center. After retiring, she
became an active member of Eastern Star and worked at the Narcissa Prentice
House in Prattsburgh, NY
Surviving are her daughters, Ellen (Wayne) Keyel and Jane (Martin) Parkhurst;
grandchildren, Rebecca (Nick Bastian), Jared, (Zibby Greenebaum) Aryn Keyel,
Alyssa Bennett, Alexandria and Eugenia Parkhurst (Brent Stein); and many other
special friends and relatives.
Anne was predeceased by her husband, Eugene E. Poore, on December 18, 2005.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 24th, 2012 at 4PM at
Bottoni-Wood Funeral Home, 4 Mechanic Street, Prattsburgh, NY 14873. Family
and friends may call from 2PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Poore’s name may be made to
the Rochester chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, 3300 Monroe Ave # 319
Rochester, NY 14618, or the Humane Society of one’s choice.
