Betty Alma Howell

Betty Alma (Bailey) Howell passed away on December 1, 2015, in Bath N.Y at age 88. She was born in Penns Creek, PA on December 20, 1926, to Blanch Gift and John Bailey. Betty married Richard L. Howell on May 7, 1947. She worked at Bausch & Lomb and Xerox. Richard and Betty also owned a restaurant in Prattsburgh called the Snack Shop. Later, Betty worked at Pro Action and the VA in Bath. She retired at 82 years old.

She is survived by her children Richard (Ann) Howell, Jacqueline (William) Folk, Debra (Richard Stuart) Howell, and Lori (Richard) Kennedy.

Betty also had 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Howell, her grandson Brian Sinsebox, and special friend Clarence Perkins.

Friends and family may call from 2 to 6 pm on Friday, December 4th, 2015 at the Bottoni-Wood Funeral Home, 4 Mechanic St., Prattsburgh, NY 14873. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home following at 6pm. Burial will be Saturday, December 5th at 10 am at Rural Cemetery in Prattsburgh.
