Laura Mae Blohm

Laura was born in Prattsburgh, NY on May 5, 1923, the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Fanny Vivian (Fox) Butts. Laura had worked as a laboratory tech at the old Prattsburgh Milk Plant. She had been an active member of the Prattsburgh Women’s Auxiliary, Prattsburgh Grange and DAR. She was a past member of the Prattsburgh United Methodist Church.

Laura is survived by her daughter and son in law, Joan and Robert Collister of Webster, NY; grandson, Craig Collister and his wife Ruth; granddaughter, Jennifer Reininger and her husband Paul; her great granddaughter, Alexis Reininger; her cousin, Charles Butts; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold Carl Blohm Jr on September 1, 2005 and her sister, Dorothy Smith.

Friends and family may call from 1 to 2pm on Thursday, March 31st at Bottoni-Wood Funeral Home, 4 Mechanic St., Prattsburgh, NY 14873. Her funeral will follow at 2pm with the Rev. Donald Peek officiating. Interment will follow at Rural Cemetery in Prattsburgh. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Laura’s memory to the Prattsburgh United Methodist Church.
