

Linda Jessie (Thompson) Swarts born October 12, 1943 in Prattsburgh, NY has passed November 1st, 2015 peacefully at home (in Campbellsville, KY) with several family members present. She was a kind loving mother to her children and a care provider to several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Linda loved to help others as much as possible, she loved to camp and bowl with family and friends. Linda was a seamstress assistant for 10 years for Michael Sterns in Penn Yan, NY, a laborer for Bates Muck Farm for 8 years in Prattsburgh, NY, a prep cook for Bob’s and Ruth’s Restaurant for 10 years in Naples, NY, and a cashier for roughly 3 years at Arrow Mart in Prattsburgh, NY. She was predeceased by her Husband Richard E. Swarts Sr. (2012) of almost 50 years, Father David L. Thompson (1972), Mother Jessie M. (Payne) Thompson (1993), Sister Kathy J. (Thompson) Davis (1987), Brother Lester R. Thompson (2003), Sister Geraldine L. (Thompson) Gordon (2007), and Sister Shirley E. (Thompson) Ribble (2010). Linda is survived by two sisters Joan M. Hough of Rochester, NY and Joanne M. Smalt of Prattsburgh, NY. Two brothers David L. Thompson of Greenwood, NY, and William T. Thompson (Elaine) of Bath, NY. One special nephew that she raised as her own James D. Ribble of Dundee, NY. Three daughters Malinda A. Ventura (Carl Jr.) of Elizabeth City, NC, Roxann E. Hartford (Richard) of Campbellsville, KY, Nora M. Koseba of Campbellsville, KY and one son Richard E. Swarts Jr. (Dawn) of Campbellsville, KY. Eleven grandchildren Heidi A. Babbitt (Rodney) of Campbellsville, KY, Alicia L. Schoonover of Healy, KS, Mackenzie N Buckley of Campbellsville, KY, Larry G. Seeley of Bath, NY, Morgan M. Seeley of Elkland, PA, Ryan E. Swarts-Taft of Branchport, NY, Chase A. Swarts-Taft of Branchport, NY, Desirae B. Swarts of Campbellsville, KY, Dakota J, Swarts of Campbellsville, KY, Payton C-E, Draper of Campbellsville, KY, Anna J. Swarts of Campbellsville, KY. Two great granddaughters Kadence L. Vincent of Healy, KS, and Cassidee J. Vincent of Healy, KS. Two Grandchildren in-law Christina Hoover of Campbellsville, KY and Jason L. Hoover of Campbellsville, KY. Linda is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews. Linda's calling hours are being held at Prattsburgh Methodist Church in Prattsburgh, NY on Saturday November 7th, 2015 at 10:30-1:30pm with Funeral services following after at 1:30. A graveside committal following at the Prattsburgh Rural Cemetery in Prattsburgh, NY.
