Marjean "Mimi" Stratton

Mimi became an angel on October 11th, 2015.

Mimi was born June 4th, 1938 in Corning, NY to the late Harold & Marion Blackman. Mimi was loved and will be missed by the many friends she made throughout her life.

Marjean grew up at the Davenport Home for Girls with her sister and best friend, Annette. Mimi loved anything to do with sewing and had a sewing room that would make Joann’s Fabric jealous. Mimi always opened her home to the many neighborhood kids that would come to the house and they never left hungry.

Mimi is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jim; her children, Mike and Justina, Steve & Brenda, Jeff and Jennifer, Jim and Tom Renner from Prattsburgh, Bridget and Phoebe Reynolds from Rochester, Joyce and Richard Hulse of Hammondsport; grandchildren, Jay, Kyle, Casey, Tadd, Nate, Nick, Morgan, Brooke and Ashley; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Joann Comitz, Annette Jordan, Veronica Henshaw, Ruth Rumsey; brother, Archie Mack.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Bottoni-Wood Funeral Home, 4 Mechanic St., Prattsburgh, NY on Wednesday, October 14 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Mimi’s memorial service will be at the funeral home on Thursday, October 15th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mimi’s name to Prattsburgh Ambulance Corps, PO Box 427, Prattsburgh, NY 14873 or to Fred & Harriett Taylor Health, 7571 State Route 54, Bath, NY 14810.
