Alice Faye was born in Prattville on April 2, 1935 to Curtis Leo Glenn and Lizzie Sides Glenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Wingler, Sr.; her parents Leo and Lizzie Glenn; and her sisters Lena Morris and Violet Tatum. She is survived by her three children, Debra (Terrell) Caudle; Diane (Jay) Kelly; and Leslie (Michelle) Wingler, Jr; her grandchildren Adam (Sarah) Stewart; David (Pam) DeJean; Michael (Meredith) Wingler; Danielle (Wes) Allen; Britt (Mary Joyce) Wingler; and her great grandchildren David, Caleb, and Isaac DeJean, Everett Allen, and Margaret Ann Wingler.
She served in the Nursery at First Baptist Church for many years. She loved all her babies from church and kept in touch with many of them after retiring. The one thing that dementia couldn’t take away was her memory of the children. She still thought she was taking care of them.
Special thanks to the staff at Prattville Health & Rehab for their loving care for the last 11 years. Thanks to her special CNA’s in Wisteria Lane.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Preschool Ministry in her name.
