
Alonza “Al” Jordan, age 80, passed away surrounded by loved ones on February 17, 2026. Born on October 23, 1945, in Pike County, Alabama, Al carried the values of faith, family, and hard work with him throughout his life.
Al made his home in Prattville, Alabama, where he built a life rooted in devotion to his family. He retired from the Federal government, serving with diligence and integrity throughout his career.
For 52 years, Al was the devoted husband of Debra Thrash Jordan. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, commitment, and partnership. Together they built a family that became his greatest pride and joy.
He was a loving father to Jodi Jordan Womble and Andy Jordan (Stacey Jordan). Nothing brought him greater happiness than being “Papa” to his four cherished grandchildren: Cody Womble, Carlee Womble, Oliver Jordan, and Henry Jordan. He delighted in their accomplishments, their laughter, and every moment spent cheering them on. His love for them was steady, generous, and unwavering.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, John Foster and Stella Jordan; his sister, Marjorie Locklar; and his brothers, Tim Jordan, Ray Jordan, and John Jordan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra; his children and grandchildren; and his siblings, Mildred Jordan and Mickey Jordan (Kathy Jordan), along with numerous extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He will be remembered as a man who deeply loved God, his family and treasured his friends. His strength, gentle spirit, and steadfast presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for a life well lived and a legacy of love that will continue through generations.
