Andrew Reid Smith III, age 74, of Prattville, went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2025. Born and raised in Prattville, Reid lived a life defined by integrity, dedication, and love for his family and community.
He was preceded in death by his father; Andrew Reid Smith II; his mother; Jule Smith, and his sister; Jule Bugay.
Reid is survived by his son, Andrew Reid Smith IV (Jennifer) and his beloved grandson, Andrew Reid Smith V who brought him endless pride and joy; and his sisters, Merrill Carter and Dora Kleinshmidt (Norm) and a host of nieces and nephews.
For 45 years, Reid built a respected career as a stockbroker and financial advisor, guiding countless clients with wisdom and care. Outside of work, he found his greatest peace on the golf course and in the outdoors.
Above all, Reid was a devoted father, grandfather, and mentor whose warmth, guidance, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him. His legacy of love, perseverance, and integrity will live on through his family and all whose lives he influenced.
Services will be held at Fountain City Baptist Church on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 11:00am.
