NIPPER, Billie Virginia, 80, of Prattville, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM Tuesday, March 19 followed by her funeral service at 2:30 PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with the Reverend Rodney Culpepper officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Nipper was born May 19, 1932 in Etowah County, Alabama to the late Frank and Grace Payne Buchanan. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially all of the grandchildren. She and her husband, Hugh, were members of the First Baptist Church when they were living in Oaklawn, Illinois in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
She is survived by five generations of the Nipper family including her loving husband of 64 years, Hugh L. Nipper; one son, Ricky Nipper, two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and George Smith, Karen and Steve Hurst all of Prattville; one sister, Betty Jean Terry of Decatur, Alabama; eight grandchildren,eleven great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
