He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann Carter. He is survived by his wife, Merrill S. Carter; parents, Otis L. and Gladys L. Carter; son Steve and Meloni Carter, and their daughters, Jersee and Emma Cate; three daughters, Cathee and Bob Gipson, and their son, Carter; Amy and Grady Myers; Nancy Carter, and her sons, Jay and Brody; and special companion “Bozo”.
A special thanks to his nurse Desiree Dick, and caregivers, Juda Mitchell, April Mitchell, Latona Mitchell and Lakessha Smith.
Memorials can be made in his honor to the Autauga County Humane Society or the Prattmont Baptist Church Building Fund.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Prattmont Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Prattmont Baptist Church on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
