Brigetta "Getta" Acreman Lockhart

Brigetta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She was completely devoted to her children and grandchildren, and nothing made her happier than spending time with them. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment they shared together. Her love for them was immeasurable, and they always knew how deeply they were cherished.

She had a heart for helping others and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Brigetta lived with kindness and compassion, always striving to do what was right and approaching others with good intentions and an open heart.

A creative soul, Brigetta loved crafting, painting, and drawing. She found joy in making beautiful things and sharing her talents with those she loved.

Brigetta shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Christopher Lockhart. Their marriage was built on love, loyalty, and unwavering support. She stood by his side through life's joys and challenges, and her love for him was evident to everyone who knew them. She also deeply treasured her friendship with Pam Womack, whose companionship brought her comfort, laughter, and countless cherished memories over the years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Lockhart; her children, Kristin Edwards (Cody Edwards), Ethan Lockhart (Dalana , and Kaitlin Zimmerman (Noah Zimmerman) ; her beloved grandchildren, Kilee Edwards, Colson Edwards, and Lukas Zimmerman; her mother, Shirley Acreman; her sisters, LaTisha Tukuloff (Scott Tukuloff) and Leah Wilson (Jonathan Wilson); her brother, Christopher Acreman (Deanna Acreman); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Acreman.

Brigetta's legacy is one of unconditional love, generosity, creativity, and selflessness. She leaves behind countless memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. While her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

A visitation will be held at Ridout's Prattville Chapel, 347 E Main St, Prattville, Alabama 36067, on July 22, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Ridouts. Burial to follow at Booth Cemetery, Booth, Al.
