Carolyn D. Jones

JONES, Carolyn D., 73, a beautiful servant of the Lord, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016. Visitation will begin Saturday, March 12th at 1:00 PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Travis Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Jones was born in Montgomery on August 20, 1942 to the late Percy Doss and Lucille Loftis Doss. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joelle Jones, a brother, Johnny Doss and a sister in law, Jymme Ree Finney. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Leon Jones; a son, Jimmy Jones (Debbie Curtis); three grandchildren, Zachary, Savannah and Sommer Jones; a sister in law, Sharon Doss; three nieces, Ann Lawford, Tammy Price, Angela Pigford; a nephew Todd Finney and a host of other family and close friends.

Pallbearers will be DeWayne Ross, Bobby Bohannon, Danny Strock, Andrew Russell, Scott Parker, Marcus Thomas and Teal Bagley.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Prattville First Baptist Church or to the Gideon’s International.
