Catherine Chavers Crowe

Catherine Crowe, 88, of Booth, passed away April 5, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lee Crowe, Sr., grandson, Johnnie Arnold “Pete” Rainwater, Jr., great grandchildren, Eli Joseph Dupree and Lola Brandhoff; parents, Jadie Luther and Myrtle Carter Chavers; siblings, Edward Chavers, Earmon Chavers, Mary Chavers Crowe, Eleanor Chavers Russell, Fannie Chavers Motley and Bobby Lee Chavers. Mrs. Crowe is survived by her children, Cathy Crowe Rainwater (Johnnie) of Prattville, Al., Linda Crowe Chandler of Booth, Al., Jimmie Gale Crowe Dupree (Gregg) of Deatsville, Al., Albert Lee “Bert” Crowe, Jr., (Angie) of Smithville, MS., and Heather Crowe Obermark (SMSgt John Obermark) of Barksdale AFB, LA. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Crowe served for 30 years as a United States Postmaster. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Graveside services for Mrs. Crowe will be Friday, April 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Booth Cemetery in Booth, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Jay Rainwater, John Rainwater, Brian Chandler, Michael Chandler, Ron Dupree, James Edward Loy, Jonathan Crowe and Wesley Crowe. Her grandsons will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Pastor Gregg Dupree will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Baptist Health Hospice or a charity of your choice.

I have many good memories of Mrs. Crowe. We spent many Easter celebrations together after church as well as other events on Dupree Drive. She will be missed. Prayers for the family.
