Clyde Samuel "Sonny" Simmons a resident of Prattville, Alabama. He was born to Clyde Jackson "Jack" Simmons and Ruth Seamon Simmons on February 23, 1932 that preceded him, also his only sibling Sibil S. Simmons, his only child, Clyde Samuel "Jack" Simmons that was the love of his life . "Sonny" passed away Wednesday September 7, 2016. Graveside services will be held on Saturday September 10th at 2:00 PM in Prattville Memory Gardens. Survivors include his spouse, Hazel Simmons of Prattville: step son, James (Ricky) Phillips and step daughter, Rebecca (Chuck) Yarbrough; three step granddaughters, one granddaughter and nine great-grandchildren. Sonny spent over 20 years in the Navy in the Medical Corps. Ridout's Prattville Chapel directing.
