He is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Rossevelt Cole; mother, Adell (Sims) Cole; sister Cornelia (Cole) Tucker; and daughter, Katrina Rose Cole. He is survived by his wife, Sidney Earlda Cole (Lynch); children, Craig Brian Cole (Vickie), Belinda Yvette Anna (Timothy), and Edward Jerome Cole; grandchildren, Ashley Lauren Anna, Nicholas Cole Anna, Sarah Lynell Moorer (Gabe), Rachel Elizabeth Collins (Hunter); great grandchild, Gideon Reid Moorer.
Curtis Paul Cole retired from the Air Force after serving his country over 20 years. He considered it an honor and was proud to serve his country. . He was known for being very meticulous and trustworthy. Because of this, he was selected to be part of a crew that flew on a special mission to take President Lyndon B. Johnson to Texas. He fought in the Vietnam War and was also stationed in Taiwan. While there, he worked for the CIA with China Airlines. He had a lot of knowledge about aircrafts, loved gospel music and traveled all over the world with his wife Sidney after retiring. He loved God and he loved his church. He will live forever in our hearts and will be missed
A funeral service for Curtis will be held at Ridout's Prattville Chapel on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM with a visitation one hour prior. A graveside at Oakhill Cemetery, Wetumpka Street, Prattville, AL 36067.
