Dan was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved his family and their times together. He leaves a legacy of love, family and treasured memories that will live on in all our hearts.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Nellie Woodruff and his children; Liz Taylor, Patsy (Larry) Moretz, Steven Woodruff, Candy (John) Driggers, Carol (Corky) Snoden and Jamie Butler. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, a daughter in law, and a granddaughter.
The family would like to extend a very heartfelt Thank You to Baptist Hospital Hospice for the care, kindness and comfort provided during this time.
Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of family forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, 1849 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36106, on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 11:00 am.
