Dorothy Delene “Dot” James, 92, of Elmore, passed away Tuesday November 8, 2016. Visitation will held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday November 10th at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday November 11th at the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery in Elmore, Alabama with Ministers Ferrell Holt and Randy Nix officiating.
Mrs. James was born on September 6, 1924 in Bibb County, Alabama to the late Jesse R. White and Ola Lee Burnett White.
She is survived by a daughter, Cathy Taylor of Slapout; three sons and daughters in law, Ferrell and Loretta Holt of Verbena, Mike and Merrily James of Slapout, Tony and Debbie James of Millbrook; six grandchildren, Jason Holt, Jon Holt, Chris Holt, Gannon James, Leah Amis, Brittany Gray; fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason, John, Chris, Gannon, Kelly and Caleb.
