Dorothy Easterling Phillips

Dorothy Easterling Phillips, age 94 of Prattville, AL passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Survivors include her daughter-in-law Babette Phillips, grandson James Bryan Phillips, granddaughter Elizabeth (Tristen) Bissonnette, and great grandson Phillip Bryan Bissonnette. She was predeceased by her husband of 75 years James Clifford Phillips, son Denis Bryan Phillips, parents William and Lou Ella Easterling, beloved brothers and sisters Edwin, Vernon, James, Willie Mae, Mavie, Ava, Madeline and Vernell.

Mrs. Phillips was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She devoted her life to caring for her family and friends. She was a charter member of Glynwood Baptist Church. She spent many years volunteering in the nursery, as well as being active throughout the church. A devout Christian, Mrs. Phillips loved reading her Bible, praying for her family and friends, and singing beloved hymns as she went about her daily tasks.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Glynwood Baptist Church with Rev. James Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mission Fund of Glynwood Baptist, 376 McQueen Smith Road, Prattville, AL 36066.
