She was born on July 5, 1948, in Montgomery, Alabama, the daughter of William “Billy” Pinkston and Lois Goins Pinkston. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Tina
Louise Chalkley.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert “Clyde” Peden; her sons, John (Laura) Peden and William Peden; her grandson, William A. Peden; her brothers, Leon Pinkston (Teresa) and David Pinkston (Cathy); and her sister, Carol Anderson.
Visitation will be held at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville, 347 East Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067, US, on August 24, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115, on August 25, 2026, at 11:45 am.
