

Mrs. Brumley was a native of Waco, Texas and after her marriage to the late Lt.Col. Troy O. Brumley in 1946, she had made her home in Alabama after various moves with the military. She had been a resident of Prattville since 1974. She was a member and former Sunday School teacher of the Prattville Prattville Church of Christ. She had been a member for 20 years of the Diggers Delight Gardens club serving as Vice President and two term as President; a member of the National Republican Club and the Prattville Republican Club; a Gray Lady with the American Red Cross, and during World War II United Service Organization (USO) serving her volunteer duties with the war wounded at McClaskey General Hospital in Gatesville, Texas.
She had been a volunteer with the Prattville Baptist Medical Center had been a secretary with the Alabama Department of Public Relations. She graduated from Waco High School and from Waco College of Business Administration with honors. She was preceded by her loving husband Lt.Col. Troy O. Brumley, in 1991. She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Beverley B. Larry D. Gray of Prattville; two sons and a daughter in law, Troy Michael Brumley of Cullowhee, NC, and Thomas R. Patricia Arnold Brumley of Gulf Shores, AL., four grandchildren; Tracey Gray (Forrest) Floyd of Magnolia Springs, AL., Daniel J. Gray of Birmingham, Shannon Brumley Nichols of Gulf Shores, AL., Sean Thomas (Courtney) of Foley, Al.; six great grandchildren Brumley J. Oglesby, Jesshan M. Oglesby, Dawson Nichols all of Gulf Shores, AL., Caroline, Alex and Jack Gray all of Birmingham, AL.
Mrs. Brumley was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother who was dearly loved.
She was a long time member of Church of Christ where she served the Lord in many capacities wherever they lived with the military and in Prattville.
