Evelyn C Headley

She was born in Bibb County, Alabama to Moody and Alvis Collins, later moving to Prattville, Alabama. In 2018 she moved to Pensacola near her daughter residing in The Residence – Covenant Care Memory Community. Even though dementia was slowly taking her away, she was loved and respected as the Southern woman she was. She loved to tell stories of her life in Prattville where she had many friends that she loved dearly and always enjoyed baking pies and cakes for.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ed Headley, whom she lost in 1994; her parents Moody and Alvis Collins; brother James Collins and beautiful granddaughter Nikki Lynn Headley.

She is survived by her children Mike Headley (Sandy) of Georgetown, Texas; Angela Wierzbicki (Michael) of Pensacola, Florida and grandsons Shane Headley (Emily) and Justin Harrell. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren Katie, Aidan and Ethan Headley; Cooper and Cruze Stump; sister Kathleen Caver and brother Perry Collins, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her best friend of 60-plus years, Lois Reynolds.

Evelyn’s children wish to thank the staff at The Residence for their awesome love and care of her for the last two years and request in lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to Covenant Care Memory Care Community, 5041 North 12th Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 32504.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prattville Memory Gardens.
