Franklin D. Lee

Frank married Sybil Cook on May 11, 1957. They were married for 69 years.

Frank is survived by his wife, Sybil; his children, Rebecca and Don Whittington, Sandra and Mickey Alexander, Melinda and George Milam, Angie and Steve Patrick, Kim and Kenneth Poe; his grandchildren, Justin and Brittany Whittington, Erin Whittington, Amy and Jonathan Bice, Scott and Tressie Alexander, Amanda and Mike Holmes, Andrew and Brooke Odom, Emily and Landon Self, Katie and Chad Easterling, Nolan and Hollie Patrick, Nicole and Taylor Wisner, Logan Patrick, Jadewyn and Jared Hornsby and Isaac Knapp; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Whittington, Micah Whittington, Rayleigh Whittington, Avery Whittington, Krista Bice, Ava Bice, Jarrett Alexander, Jackson Alexander, Janna Faith Alexander, Liam Holmes, Charlee Holmes, Anna Jo Holmes, Owen Odom, Darby Odom, Eloise Odom, Graham Self, Esther Self, Dallas Self, Benjamin Self, Zoe Self, Jace Murray, Anna Grace Murray, Raiden Easterling, Korver Patrick, Banner Patrick, Crew Patrick, Eden Patrick, Georgia Wisner and Charlie Wisner.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, William T. and Ludie M. Lee; his siblings, Mary Ellen Walker, Mildred Watkins, Robert Lee and William T. Lee, Jr.; his son-in-laws, Jeffrey Lee Odom and Herman Winston Knapp, and his grandson, Nicholas Adam Lee Whittington.

To help us celebrate the life of Franklin D. Lee feel free bring a can of fruit cocktail to the viewing or celebration of life. The donated cans will be given to a local food pantry to honor his legacy and testimony.

A visitation for Frank will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1530 Bridge Creek Road, Prattville, Al 36067 followed by the funeral, also at the church at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
