George R Gunn

George R Gunn, age 74, of Millbrook passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023 surrounded by loving family. He was born in Malta Bend, Saline, Missouri but travel the world through his long military career proudly serving our country in the US Army. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Cagle Gunn and Beatrice Paxton Gunn; brother Derryl Keith Gunn and son Jamie Marvin Carmack.

George is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Rebecca Gantt Gunn; sons James Michael Carmack, Jason Matthew Carmack (Ashley); grandchildren Chloe Miranda Davis, Brenden Carmack, Grace Carmack, Nicholas Carmack, Alison York Smith, Alexander Carmack, Hanna Carmack, Hailey Carmack, Emily Carmack and a great grandchild Cameron Smith.

A family and friends visitation for George will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Prattville Ridouts Chapel. A celebration of life chapel service will occur Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A a graveside committal service will occur Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL.
