Glen had a great love for the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish, and spend time out in nature. Everyone who met Glen loved him and his wonderful sense of humor which he shared freely.
Glen started working on cars as a shade tree mechanic as a teen in the mountains of Tennessee. His love for cars grew and so did his knowledge of how they worked. He became an expert in the field of mechanics and was always sought after by friends and neighbors when their cars needed a fix. They say you could tell what a man is like by his hands. Well, you could tell that Glen was very strong and a hard worker when he took you by the hand, whether to shake it, or in my and my sisters, case to hold it. Our dad’s hands spoke volumes, but for now they are silent - a much deserved rest.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM Friday at the Hunting Ridge Church of God followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Brother Henry Williams and Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers include his grandsons, Brandon Logan and Nathan Burns, close friends Don Headley, David Wilkinson, Jim Manderson, Philip Free, John Sheffield and Carl McQueeney.
