

Glen Elvin Fisher of Prattville, Alabama was born on May 7, 1937 in Lewisburg, OH, and left this life on May 25, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Watt Fisher, his parents John and Lenna Fisher, and one sister Sandy Jarrett. He is survived by his sister, Celia Miller, daughter Deborah Fisher Copeland (Kenneth), daughter Glenellyn Naber-Fisher (Donovan), son Earl Winslow Fisher, daughter Patrice Fisher Corwin (Michael), six grandchildren, Justin Copeland, Nathan Copeland, Thai Naber, LaShay Corwin, Brayden Corwin, and Mya Corwin; six great grandchildren, Jace, Kate, Carter, Colin, William, and Grant Copeland, and several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Glen enlisted into the US Army on May 31, 1956 andl1/240 many tours of duty around the world until retiring on May 31, 1979 as a First Sergeant. During this time he received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Meritorious Service Medal among many others. After retirement he moved to Eaton, OH where he worked with the Eaton Police Dept in multiple capacities including dispatcher, crisis counselor, and hospital chaplain.
He became a Christian in 1965 and wherever he lived, he was active in his local church by serving as a Preacher, Bible Teacher, deacon over Benevolence and Counselor.
His favorite hobbies were fishing, studying the Bible and handing out "smarties" to children and their moms wherever he went. Military burial for Mr. Fisher will be on Friday, July 11 at 10:15 AM at Alabama National Cemetery. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 12 at 11:00 at Prattville Church of Christ.
