

Harold Hellums, Sr., 72, of Elmore, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Monday at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kevin McDaniel officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the Sheppard Cemetery near Eclectic. Harold was born on April 21, 1944 in Montgomery to the late Raymond Hellums and Sybil Cannon Hellums. He was a Master Technician in Automotive Mechanics and worked for Dorsey Motors for over 20 years. He was a Master Mason, an avid Auburn Football Fan and enjoyed NASCAR. He loved his family and will always be remembered for his willingness to help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, “Mrs. Kay” Hellums in 2008. He is survived by a son, Harold Hellums, Jr., of Winter Springs, Fl.; two daughters, Donna Kay Bethea and her husband Joe, Sr. of Deatsville, Angela Thompson of Prattville; seven grandchildren, Bryce Hellums, Joe Bethea, Jr., Brandon Hellums, Kayla Ford, Alan Thompson, Kevin Thompson, Brittany Hellums; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Albright; a brother, Edward Hellums and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends.
Pallbearers will be Harold Hellums, Jr., Bryce Hellums, Joe Bethea, Jr., Brandon Hellums, Brian Thompson and Jeremy Story.
