James Robert Dozier Sr.

DOZIER, James Robert, age 69, a resident of Millbrook, Deatsville and Flatwoods went to a better place on Friday, May 11, 2012 and will be missed. His loving family includes his wife of 47 years, Alice Dozier, his son and daughter-in-law Robby Dozier, Jr. and Carole Dozier, and his grandson Stephen Dozier. He was also greatly loved by his wife’s family, Jo, Larry, Maranda, John, Melanie, Jackson and Avery Monfee. He spent a full life with his brother J.C. Dozier and family (Mary, Pam, and Todd Dozier), his brother Larry and family (Marilyn, Shannon, Christopher, and Michael), his sister Mary McQueen and family (Harold Jr, Cindy, Rory and Carol) and many other great nieces and nephews. His extended family includes many past co-workers from Southern Publications and Montgomery Living Press, former customers of Robert Dozier Satellite Systems, and many people involved in youth baseball and football in Millbrook. Visitation and celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel on Monday May 14th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 15th at New Home Baptist Church in Elmore, AL at 1:00 PM and presided by Rev. Walter Batyski. Graveside service will be held afterwards at County Line Christian Church in Millbrook/Deatsville with Minister George Albert Monfee presiding.
