James Thomas Franklin

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Franklin; daughter, Robin Dale Franklin; parents FN and Molly Beatrice Franklin; brothers, Leo Franklin and Benny Franklin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James Edgar and Rosie Armena Hawkins.

He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Cindy Franklin, Suzanne and Jeff Rucks; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Robyn Franklin, Rick and Brenda Franklin; one sister Elizabeth Post; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sonja Hawkins; eight grandchildren, Alina, Austin, Leslie, Elizabeth, Sonya, Cassy, Shawn and Patrick; eight great-grandchildren, Lexi, Michael, Evelyn, Bristol, Paisley, Lila, Macon and August; and many other extended family members.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from The Prattville Church of Christ with Minister Brent Missildine officiating.

Burial will follow in Durden Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

The family extends their thanks to her caregivers, Cassie and Candace from Southern Care Hospice.
