James Gibby

Jim served a two-year proselyting mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in São Paulo, Brazil.

Upon returning home, he met and later married Janice Eller Gibby on October 25, 1968 and they were sealed in the LDS Oakland Temple the following day. He was the proud father of 11 children.

Jim graduated from Saint Leo University with a degree in Business and Finance.

He retired as a Captain from The United States Air Force, after being prior enlisted, after 20 years of service. He served all over the United States including, Texas, Utah, Arizona, Hawaii, Virginia, Nebraska, and Alabama.

James is preceded in death by his parents, brother Timothy Gibby, and daughter Whitney Gibby. He is survived by his wife, brother Dennis Gibby, his children William Gibby (Billie), Jill Schneiter, Stacy Gibby, Stephen Gibby, Jeffery Gibby (Tina), Brooke Grubmüller (Rainer), Todd Gibby, Lindsey Barber (Robert), Seth Gibby (Emily), Sloan Poppell (Trey), 17 grandchildren, Mallory (Coby), Kelton (Morgan), Madison, Josh, Tatum, Reagan, Adam, Oliver, Rose, Jakob, James, Jessalyn, Nikolas, Ren, Joel, Addisen, Bett and 3 great-grandchildren, Brewer, Wakely, and Ava.
