GREENE, James W., 83, a resident of Prattville, AL, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna Taylor Greene, and a son, Russell A. Green. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Julie Greene, Prattville, AL; one daughter, Rhonda G. Williams, Dothan, AL; two sisters, Lamerle Hamm, Jemison, AL; Elaine (Buddy) Simpson, of FL; three brothers, Marshall (Hazel) Green and Gilbert (Evelyn) Green, all of Clanton, AL; Paul (Kathy) Green, of FL; a loving companion, Betty Mims; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The River Region United Way or The Bethsalem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Funeral services will be held at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011 with Rev. Glenn Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Bethsalem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
