James Edward “Jake” Minor III, age 26, died unexpectedly on April 5, 2021. Jake is survived by his mother, Kayla Miller Minor Cleveland and her husband, Chip Cleveland, and his father, James Edward “Jim” Minor, Jr. He is also survived by his three siblings, Clifford Wayne “Ford” Cleveland III, Callahan Cleveland Minor and Camille Crawford Minor. Jake graduated from Trinity Presbyterian School and attended Auburn University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and enjoyed Auburn football. Jake was a fourth generation Overhead Door and Fireplace (OHD) legacy. During his eight years of employment, Jake served in his initial capacity as a “helper” and eventually as Residential Sales Manager. Jake was able to develop relationships with all the employees of OHD but most importantly enjoyed working side by side with his mom. Jake enjoyed a full and active life. He was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed Lake Martin boating, his friends and it goes without saying that he loved Cash, his Labrador retriever. If you knew Jake, you know that he never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a big smile and those gorgeous blue eyes.
