James Hugh Nummy

James Hugh Nummy, 93, of Deatsville, Alabama, passed away on August 25, 2024. He was preceded in death by parents Joseph William Nummy and Alpha Iula Barber Nummy; siblings Jackie Nummy, Susie Hunt, Peggy Driver, Loretta Jackson and Elizabeth Carr. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Gracie C. Hunt Nummy; children, Nancy Scott (Pinky), Dave Nummy and Julie Pitts (Jack); grandchildren, Jennifer Fells (Dan), Jodi Woods (Drew) and Justin C. Wood, Jordan Pitts and Jack W. Pitts (Vic); great grandchildren, Jordan Scott, Katie Fells, Gracie Fells, Alexander Fells, Grace Katherine Woods, Walter Woods, Everest Woods, Sutton Pitts; sister, Jean Gibbons and brother, Bobby Nummy (Joan). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Nummy will be Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 1 PM at Ridouts Prattville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will follow at County Line Christian Church Cemetery. Chaplain Franklin Nettles and Pastor Nick Edwards officiating. Pallbearers will be Dave Nummy, Johnny Scott, Jack R. Pitts, Justin Wood, Drew Woods and Dan Fells.
