Jean Lovett

Mrs. Lovett was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Lovett, a former high school sweetheart whom she married in 1981 (after he chased her for 22 years); son, Dennis L. Wise, Jr., his father (her first husband), Dennis L. Wise, Sr., and her parents, Russell P. and Aletha B. (Fetzer) Ludwig.She is also survived by her grandchildren, Woody F. Wise, Daniel M. Chestnut, Andrew Chestnut, and Annie Rose Chestnut of Hudson, Florida, and her daughter-in-law Paula Gates, of Hudson, Florida; her sister in Christ and best friend, Deborah Stearns Woodard, Montgomery, AL, grandson in Christ, J.W. Woodard, Atlanta, GA, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael and Jill Lovett, Lock Haven, PA, aunt and uncle, David and Mary Fetzer, Ethridge, TN, aunt, Agustua Fetzer, Lamar, Pennsylvania; one brother, his wife, one niece and nephew, of Atlanta, GA.

Mrs. Lovett graduated from Lock Haven High School in Pennsylvania June 7, 1960 and from Troy State University-Montgomery June 7, 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. She retired after 24 years from the State of Alabama, January 1, 2007 working the last 10 and one-half years with the Retirement Systems of Alabama (Teachers). She was a member of Baptist Church where she served her Lord in numerous ministries.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to one's favorite charity.
