John Dewey "J.D." Parrish Jr.

Funeral services were held Saturday May 16 at 2:00 PM at Ridout's Prattville Chapel with Pastor Mike Matheny officiating.

Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

J.D. was born on November 3, 1938 to the late John Dewey Parrish, Sr. and Sarah Berry Parrish.

He was a retired automotive mechanic with many years of service working in various local repair shops.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and Alabama football.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Parrish, a brother Bill Parrish and a sister Annette Echols.

He is survived by a daughter Sandra Moon of Marbury; a son Darrell Parrish of Marbury; step daughter, Annette Green and her husband James of Prattville; a stepson, Lester Hooks, Jr. of Marbury; a sister and brother in law, Margie and James Bolt of Prattville; a brother and sister in law, Roy and Linda Parrish of Prattville; a devoted friend, Lois Barrett of Santuck and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other close family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Gary Parrish, Jeff Parrish, John Parrish, Kody Moon, Marty Milner, Johnny Echols and Kenny Easterling.
