John P Eaker

John Paul Eaker, 75, passed away on May 11, 2025. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, John was a dedicated pipefitter by trade, a longtime member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and a faithful Mason.

John is lovingly remembered by his partner, Ada Otter Eaker, and his children: Paula (Jim) Priddy, Angie (Brett) Franklin, JP (Mandi) Eaker; and by Bubba (Debbie) Causey, Tonette (Billy) Granthum, Eva Causey, and Allen (Kelly) Causey.

He was a devoted brother to Nancy (Pete) Peterson, Susie (Mike) Sanders, Daniel (Krys) Eaker, and Helen Dunavent. John was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Darcy and Virginia Eaker.

He leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren: TJ, Darcy, Jared Priddy; Eli, Avery, Amelia, Elsie, Owen, Everett Franklin; John Thomas and Laura Eaker; Charis (Jacob) Conway, Patti Whitten, John and Rann (Taylor) Causey, Paige (Matt) Crysel, Blake Floyd, Boyd and Mason Causey, and was further blessed with many great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren who brought him more joy.

John will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his quiet strength, and the deep love he held for his family and community. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the many lives he touched and in the grace of God’s eternal care.

A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
