Julia Dismukes

Julia Jackson Reid Dismukes, (age 97), a resident of Mulberry, Alabama, died October 26, 2021. Mrs. Dismukes was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Heflin Reid, husband James Dix Dismukes, grandson, Nick Shackelford, sisters Annette Hall, Maye Johnson, and Lucy Wallace. She is survived by her daughters Anne Reid Dismukes Shackelford (Robert), Mulberry, Julia Dismukes Pate (Rick), Lowndesboro, and Dawn Dismukes Moore (David), Buford, Ga.; Grandchildren Robert Shackelford (Nancy), Jennifer McBride (Ed); Richard Pate, Jr., James Pate, Elizabeth Pannell (Kevin), David Moore III (Amber), Matthew Moore (Ashley), and Jessica Moore; great grandchildren Will, Reid and Raegan Shackelford; Julia Anne and Haden McBride; Jackson and Stewart Pannell; Lee, Laney, and Addie Moore; and Henry Moore. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church at 1pm with service to follow at 2pm. Reverend Richard Lucas will officiate. Pallbearers will be Rob, Will and Reid Shackelford; Richard and James Pate; and Ed McBride.
